A Nepal work visa is for foreigners employed by an organization in Nepal. It sits alongside labour-department work permit steps. A tourist visa does not authorize employment, including many remote or “help out at the NGO” arrangements.
Usual sequence
- Employer in Nepal prepares a contract and justification for hiring a foreign national.
- Labour / work-permit process as required for that sector.
- Immigration files for the working visa category with passport, photos, and employer documents.
- You enter on the correct visa or convert from another category only if immigration allows it.
