Nepal visa cost: tourist fees and other visa types
For most tourists, Nepal visa cost is set in US dollars at the visa-on-arrival counter: commonly USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days, and USD 125 for 90 days. Extensions, multiple-entry options, and non-tourist visas use different fee schedules.

Children under 10 are often charged a reduced or nil tourist visa fee — confirm the current child rule before you pay. Bring USD cash as backup even if cards are accepted, because card outages happen.
Extensions and overstay
Tourist visa extensions are usually calculated per extra day (commonly around USD 2 per day) plus any extra or late fees if you apply late. Tourist stay in Nepal is capped per visa year (often 150 days). Overstay fines are separate and increase with delay.
Other visa types
Business, student, work, and NRN-related fees are not the same as the tourist tariff. They may be paid in NPR at immigration in Kathmandu or Pokhara and can include recommendation letters, labour permits, or consular charges. Our lawyers quote service fees separately from government charges.
